Thank you for considering Wade Therapy Services for your Private Autism Diagnostic Assessment.

South Wales Autism Assessments are a South Wales based Autism assessment service founded by Chris Wade, Consultant Speech and Language Therapist. Chris has been working in multidisciplinary diagnostic teams in the NHS and Privately over the past 15 years.

Our Private Autism Diagnostic Assessment follow the NICE guidelines and from February 2024 we began to be commissioned to provide Autism diagnostic assessments in partnership with Powys NHS Integrated Autism Services. We are always more than happy to speak with our NHS or Local Authority colleagues.

The cost of our Private Autism Diagnostic Assessment is £2250 and our Multidisciplinary Assessment Pathway is:

1. Initial Enquiry

The instructing party / family contacts Wade Therapy Services to enquire about a Private Autism Diagnostic Assessment. The family are sent the MDT Assessment Pathway and Case History Form. The family are invited to ask questions via email to gemma@wts.ltd and arrange for a phone consultation with Chris Wade should they so wish.

2. Authority to Proceed

If the instructing party / family are happy to proceed with the Private Autism Diagnostic Assessment the Wade Therapy Services admin, Gemma, will provide the family with available dates for the ADOS and ADI-R assessments. An invoice is sent to the family on confirmation of the assessment dates.

Questionnaires will be sent to the child or adolescent’s education placement or the adult’s partner, to be completed and returned to Gemma prior to the multidisciplinary meeting.
